AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF BALANCED LIFESTYLE COACHING

AIMS:

•  To raise awareness of the causes and effects, of stress on the individual.

•  To illustrate ways in which stress can be managed and reduced, to produce positive effects on the individual and the workplace.

•  To develop the awareness of how posture can affect health either positively or negatively.

•  To develop an understanding of what constitutes good nutrition.

•  To understand how we all as individuals differ in nutritional needs to achieve optimal health.

OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the course participants should be able to…

•  Recognise the signs and symptoms of stress both within themselves and others.

•  Develop an understanding of both the positive and negative effects of stress on individuals and the workplace.

•  Identify causes of stress within the workplace.

•  Consider ways to help prevent and/or manage stress.

•  Understand how posture can be affected by stress.

•  Understand how effective time management can have a positive effect on individuals and the workplace.

•  Understand what healthy nutrition means to them individually.

•  Understand how to choose foods best suited to their specific Metabolic Type that will help to energise them effectively for better performance at work or play.

OBJECTIVES FOR MANAGERS:

•  Understand the negative effects of stress within the workplace.

•  Recognise the signs & symptoms of stress within staff.

•  Identify practical ways to reduce and prevent work related stress including implementation of a stress policy.

•  Understand that the development of better communication skills can avoid stress and anger issues at work and home.

•  Recognise the positive effects of good communication skills on employee productivity.

•  Recognise the positive effect of appropriate nutrition on employee health at work regarding efficiency and productivity.

Please Note : During the day there are some group exercises. There will also be a practical relaxation time of around 10 - 15 minutes for delegates to partake in.
